FIT 2000

FIT2000 was established in 1994 in Bedfordview and has branches in Pretoria, Durban and Cape Town. The striking club colours and economical club subscription have attracted members from all over the province.

The club started off as a walking and running programme nearly 15 years ago and has developed into a successful athletic club. The club house is based in Bedfordview but our members come from all corners of the JHB CBD - probably due mostly to the fact that the club is so active at road races. This is partly due to the involvement of founders Jenny and Paul Selby with the 1000km Challenge.

Many of our members have joined the club because of its very close link with the 1000km Challenge and we are very proud of our members who do long distance events such as the Comrades Marathon and other crazy things like 6 day circuit races! The 1000 km Challenge is now into its successful 20th year of running and very many wonderful experiences and friendships have been formed over the years (1000km Challenge details available on the link on the home page).

We are particularly proud of our very striking club colours.

We welcome membership enquires from both walkers and runners. 4/8km Time trials are run on a Thursday evening at 5.45pm in the summer months and 5.30 in the winter months.
